Earlier this year FlowLabs were tasked with developing a computer vision algorithm capable of detecting people, cars and bikes in live CCTV footage from several cameras all across Montevideo. The project is equally challenging as it is interesting, and several questions sprung up instantly:
What toolbox should we use? How should we train our algorithm? How should we tag our images and most importantly, how should we generate our data set?
